Hi Guys! It is time for a new challenge at Little Miss Muffet Stamps, (Challenge #181 “Anything Goes!”) I decided to use one of the sweet new images called Polka Dot Pals Temoc – She is an adorable cheerleader that I colored up in the colors of a sweet friend’s cheer team. This is for her so she can know that I am one of her biggest fans!

I had some digis from Doodle Pantry (now discontinued) that I combined to make cheer paper. I hope you love her like I do and are inspired today!

Come on over and join in on Challenge #180 – Anything Goes!  There are prizes… For our prizes, one lucky winner will be awarded a $10.00 Gift Voucher to the LMMS shop. We like to select a couple other projects to highlight as well.  Good Luck!

Thanks for stopping by!!

Merry Christmas to Ewe!

My mom is a member of a group of rug hookers. They are wonderfully talented and they all seem to love sheep. So I find myself collecting digi sheep for her…I made her a card a couple of years ago with Doodle Pantry’s Holiday Sheep and she loved it! She asked if I would make her some to give away so I agreed and decided (since there was more than one) it needed to be a fun but simple card… I think this will fit the bill, and I think she will love them! I am going to use this one for this month’s Doodle Pantry Challenge DPDC53.

Doodle Pantry Christmas EweRecipe:

  • Image- Holiday Sheep digi stamp by Doodle Pantry
  • Paper – White (PTI), Red (Recollections)
  • Ink – Copics (I forgot to write them down – sorry)
  • Other – Rectangle and scallop rectangle dies (Spellbinders), Window punch and label punch (Stampin Up), Swirls Embossing folder (Cuttlebug), Twine (PTI)

For this Hope You Can Cling To Challenge card “Holding it together”, we were not allowed to use adhesive except to attach the base layer to the card – WOW! do I depend on adhesive… sewing on cards is not my best technique so I stuck with simple straight lines.

I love this Doodle Pantry Hydrangea image – It reminds me of my grandmother every time I see it. She had hydrangeas all around her house. They are so beautiful! I have smiled every time I looked at it today 🙂

Today’s card is for September’s Doodle Pantry Challenge DPDC50. This uses one of their new images. Not sure why, but this one just called to me. I think I love the digi papers in this set just as much as I love the images.

I found a fun sketch at Splitcoast Stampers to build my card and, in the end, I really love it!

Today’s card is for this month’s Doodle Pantry Challenge DPDC49. I have had this little guy for a while and I was finally able to get him on a card.

For fun I thought I would create a background with Tim Holtz distress paints and a clock embossing folder thinking it would be cute to use clocks to go along with the sentiment. What do you think?

You’re a pear-fect friend!

24 Saturday May 2014

Today I made a card for this month’s Doodle Pantry Challenge DPDC46. My Doodle Pantry Image is called Pearfect Tree and Wreath. And how exciting – once I use it for this anytime card, I can combine it with Christmasy colors for another choice 🙂

Doodle Pantry Pearfect friend

I decided to play with some watercolor paper and distressed paints for the background which was lots of fun! However, it is a little messy and it kind of turned monochromatic (if you can do that with 3 colors???). I think I like it though – what do you think?  If you want to try it yourself, simply dab some distress paints on your craft mat, spray it up with water and place you water color paper into it, let it dry and use it on a project…

Recipe:

  • Image- Pearfect Tree and Wreath digi by Doodle Pantry
  • Paper – Watercolor, tourquoise (Recollections), Cream (PTI)
  • Ink- Copics – YG93, YG95, YG97, YG61, YG63, YG67, YG03, B01, B02, B04, YR04, B0000; Ditress Paints – Broken Chine, Wild Honey, Peeled Paint
  • Other – Circle and Scallop Circle dies (Spellbinders), Banner Die (PTI), Basic Backdrop and Polka dot Backdrop Dies (AJVD)

Challenges:

  • Craftitude – Challenge #65 ~ That’s Die-licious (Use a Die)
  • Digi Haven – Spring has Sprung Challenge
  • Polkadoodles – Wk 20 – Things With Wings
  • Sister Act Challenge – Challenge #58 ATG

Asian Plants

Yahoo!! I was a Spotlight winner at Crafting by Designs and was invited to be a Guest Designer for their Asian themed challenge today.

For today’s card, I used a fun image from Doodle Pantry Stamps called Asian Plants. It even came with a couple of awesome sentiments. The inside sentiment says “The journey is the reward”. I love this set!

DP Asian Pla ts

I tried embossing a digi again so that I could watercolor without it smearing…I printed it on watercolor paper and heat embossed the outline. As long as you don’t print too many things at once and you literally catch it and dump the embossing powder, this is a really cool option for digi lovers! I colored it up with Inktense pencils. For the background I stamped “Tea-house” (Stampin’ Up Rubber Stamp) onto vellum with iced spruce Distress ink.

Other supplies: Basic back drop and polka dot backdrop dies (AJVD), Oval, Circle, and Oval Scalloped dies (Spellbinders), ribbon.

Hop over to Crafting by Designs and see what type of inspiration the DT came up with for you.

I am also entering this card into this month’s Doodle Pantry Digital Challenge #45.

Thanks for stopping by!

Tweet Birdhouse!

23 Sunday Mar 2014

DPguestbadge2013Happy Sunday! Today Doodle Pantry is sponsoring the challenge at – 613 Avenue Create (Challenge #64 – Theme: Birds, feathers, wings) and since this is my last month as a Guest Designer, I wanted to play along…

For my card, I used one of the new digi sets from the March release – Tweet Birdhouses

DP Tweet Birdhouses 1

Today I went with a WATERCOLOR look! First I printed the sentiment onto watercolor paper – I literally waited for the page to come out of the printer and immediately put some clear embossing powder onto it. Heat embossing worked!! I water colored the background paper with Inktense Pencils (Iris Blue and Antique White). With my aqua pen, I pick the colors off the pencils and swirled it onto the watercolor paper trying to make it look like clouds.

Then I water colored the birdhouse with a variety of pencils, (somewhat random as I wanted it to look weathered). I fussy cut it and tied it onto some “branches” (Stampin’ Up Bird Builder Punch) so it would look like it was hanging from a tree.  I mounted it onto a True Black cardstock base (PTI) and VOILA!

I haven’t tried this technique like this before but I really like the outcome! It’s Clean and Simple and Subtle. What do you think?

Now slide over to 613 Avenue Create and join in the fun! AND AS ALWAYS…Thanks for stopping by!

Challenges:

  • Come and Get it Challenges – Easter/Spring
  • Dragonfly Dreams – Up in the Air
  • Glitter n Sparkle – #77 Use some Blue
