Bugaboo ATG Challenge

I am so sad that Bugaboo stamps has closed down! I had already created this acrd for the August ATG challenge though so decided to post it anyway…

I have a clean and simple card using a super cute embossing folder that I haven’t pulled out in a long while and I am not really sure why not? I mean what is sweeter than a smile embossing? Maybe this sweet block by Bugaboo called Someone’s Reason! I colored it up with Copics and cut it out and popped it on fun foam before putting it on my embossed panel – soooo sweet!

Bugaboo Sketch Challenge – Birthday Cupcake

Today we have another Stella Says Sketch Challenge. This month it will be month long.

My project features Scarlette Cupcake – she is so fancy in her long gloves and high heel shoes. I love her!

I just went with it on this one. There wasn’t a whole lot of planning. I cut my image with the banner die before I colored it and when I cut off the flame, I almost started over, but then remembered an awesome yellow flame shaped gem I had in my stash so I just kept moving ahead. I colored her up and then found the cardstocks to match her. I used a piece of washi to look like the top of the sketch and then I took a little liberty with my sentiment placement. I hope everyone will be ok with that because this card was so much fun – it makes me happy! 🙂

Bugaboo ATG Challenge CAS Birthday

Catch the Bug is going to two month long challenges. Today we have the first and it is an Anything Goes Challenge. I have a clean and simple birthday card for you inspiration.

I combined the sentiment and image from Stella Facebook Birthday and printed it out on lightweight watercolor paper. Then I smooshed some Distress Oxides on top to add color without having to color. It was hard not to pull out my color pencils or Copics but ultimately I love that I was able to create a fun card in a relatively short amount of time. I just had to die cut the layer and adhere them together.

Bugaboo SSS – Graduation Time!!

Today we have another new Stella Says Sketch at Catch the Bug. It is easy to following and you can do a lot with it.

In the continuing saga of “use your stuff!” I pulled an embossing folder today. In all fairness , there is really only a yearly need at best for this one but it has been a year or more so it is time!!

I colored up Deacon – Grad Diploma with Copics, fussy cut him, and added him on top of my graduation hats embossed panel. I used washi tape before I embossed to create the stripes so it would look like it blended into the panel. I added a simple congratulations sentiment and it is going in the mail 🙂 I love it when my cards don’t become another part of my stash – what about you?

Bugaboo ATG Challenge – Birthday Puppy

Today starts a new challenge at Bugaboo Stamps and as the new format says…Anything Goes! I have really been trying to use some of those tools, papers, stamps, dies (you get the picture) that I just “had to have” at one time or another and then proceeded to put in a drawer and forget about them… Am I the only one? Today, I pulled out a die from Waffle Flower that cuts strips and some colored cardstock colors that I don’t often reach for anymore…

I used a cute puppy from the Bugaboo Stamps Birthday Puppies Set. I colored up my image with Copic markers. Die cut the square with a Simon Says Stamp die then put it all on my fun hand made stripe background. SWEET!!

Today’s Freebie at Bugaboo Stamps is called Deacon Cake and it is a-dorable! I printed it up to fit an A2 card, colored it with Copic markers, added birthday sentiment and mounted it onto a coordinating green background – clean and simple and i love it!

Bugaboo – Stella Says Sketch

Today starts a new Stella Says Sketch at Catch the Bug. It is simple and fun!

I pulled out some of my stash pieces of papers (already started on a card) that had some great color combos, and had so much fun coloring my image – Butterfly Bear 4 to match the paper rather than coloring the image and finding papers to match… So much easier this way! I used Copics.

Bugaboo ATG Challenge

Today starts a new challenge at Bugaboo Stamps and as the new format says…Anything Goes! I have tried slimline cards before (I think they were called tall cards then :)) but I really wanted to play around with a tall digi and make it tall enough for a slimline card. I found the perfect image in Morning Coffee. I totally know how she feels some days are just like that. And mornings…grrr.

For my card, I made my image as tall as I could and still keep it the right width (a slimline card is essentially 8.5″ tall and 3.5″ wide.) I colored up my image with Copic markers then did some detailing with Polychromos pencils. I had a clear stamp set from Sweet N Sassy Stamps that had coffee splashes and spots and a perfect sentiment for this not ready for the morning gal… I had a slimline die set in my stash waiting for me to finally give it some love so I layered the image. I used some banner dies to cut out and mount my sentiment. It was a little harder than I thought it would be to work with a canvas this size using just one image, but in the end, I absolutely LOVE how this came together!

Bugaboo Stamps Freebie Friday – Umbrella

Today Bugaboo has a cute umbrella for the Freebie Friday offering – You can get it HERE. Considering the amount of rain lately, it is a really timely image haha! I created a collage of umbrellas by placing them randomly over my page before cutting a panel. I added a simple, chunky sentiment and a bold black. To finish it, I added the only color in the form of some enamel dots. Super fun, super easy!

Bugaboo – Bee Kind

Today at Bugaboo is an “Anything But a Card” Challenge. I have created a sweet little ATC Coin featuring Bugaboo Bees – Flowers. I printed the bee on watercolor cardstock and colored up with copics. I added a few random textures and doodles. Then I thought it would be cute to add the single word “Kind” to go with the bee. Sweet and simple and that is all there is to this one.
