inOK, Christmas is down and the new year is just hours away…Time to start the Valentine’s. I love making and sending Valentines to the kiddos in my life.
Today I have two to share. They are basically clean and simple designs but I did create some smooshed ink backgrounds and used my stamp set to create a “design” on these backgrounds.
This first one uses Texture Tiles 7 to create the design on my background piece then I colored up the heart from the Heart Candy set and added it on top – this one is so fun!!
The second one uses Vintage Romance. I used the key to create a pattern in the background then. I colored the lock and key, fussy cut them and adhered them to a die cut circle – otherwise they blended to much into the background. I used a sentiment from the set and this one is ready to go. Maybe not to a kiddo but it is ready to go 🙂
Do you make Valentines? If so, I hope these inspire you!
Thanks for stopping by and Happy New Year my friend!
Hugs,
Lyn

inThere is a new January release at Sweet N Sassy called Punny Love and it is A-D-O-R-A-B-L-E!!
It is choc full of potential for sweet projects from Valentines to inspiration cards!
I found some mini envelopes (4.125″x 2.75″) and created some little Valentines – I am working on a “class set”. I used the little hearts from the set and with versamark, created tone on tone decoration for the envelopes.
While I was making minis, I made some fun little lunchbox cards. Don’t you think kiddos will love getting these in their lunch boxes!?
These are quick and easy and so much fun you will want to stamp them all!
I hope you are inspired to create some mini cards! Thanks for stopping by!!

inFor today, I used one of the Wood Background Stamps and tried to think out side of the box to create fun “punny” cards.
The first one uses Distress Inks and a stencil for a little dimension behind my wood slice. I printed a sentiment that said “Wood You Be Mine?” I added a couple of heart brads for the finishing touch.
For my second card, I did a little watercolor smooshing behind my wood slice. I printed “You are how old?” for a banner on front.Â
On the inside, I used Bitty Minnie Alpha to spell out “No One WOOD Know”.
Fun right? I have more so stay tuned 🙂
Thanks for stopping by!

inHi There! I hope you are having a great weekend so far! It is cold and rainy here in Georgia but that just means staying in and coloring 🙂 I have been making Christmas tags all week so I can finish up my wrapping but today I am taking a break to create a couple more Valentine’s Day Cards. I love sending Valentines to all the kiddos in my life so getting started early is a good thing!
The cards I have created use the Sweet as Candy Set and are simple but with some details to add interest.
For the first one, I used my stamping tool. I placed the candies on the bottom half of the card. I stamped them then flipped the card and stamped again to cover the entire card. I colored the candies and the background with Copics and then I created a sentiment by using the Bitty Minnie Alpha Set and other sentiments from the Sweet as Candy Set. I die cut it with a stitched circle die, and popped it up in the middle of the colored background. It is so fun to use the smaller elements of a stamp set to create a bigger part of the card – don’t you think? For my second card, I used red and white scraps from my desk to create a “candy cane – like” background paper. Then on a separate piece of paper, I stamped the bubble gum machine, masked it, and stamped the sentiment in a repeated pattern over it (I used my stamping tool for this too.) I pulled up the mask and colored the image with Copics. Then I die cut it with a rectangle and popped it up in the center of the background paper I made.Â
There you have it. Two simple cards with handmade backgrounds – though very different in look and technique. The fun and bright results really make me happy!
I hope you are inspired to create some backgrounds of your own! Thanks for stopping by!

inHappy Valentine’s Day everyone!
Today I have the last of the cards that I sent to my cutie patooties (there were 9 of them – whoa!) It was fun though! I don’t know why I love sending Valentine’s cards to the kiddies but it is way more fun than Christmas cards even. They LOVE getting mail so it is special for them which makes it special to me – that’s a win right?
I used some digi paper on two of my cards and all use digital images from Sweet N Sassy Stamps. I hope you like them!
Well I hope your day is a wonderful one and you and your Valentine have a great one!
Thanks for stopping by!

inI finally got all of my Valentine cards made and mailed out, whew!!! I hope my sweeties all love their cards! Such a fun holiday to share with the kiddos (and my grandmother of course – she would be disappointed if she didn’t get a card :))
Today’s card is a shaker card (sort of) using tulle. I used a distressed ink background and heart shaker pieces to compliment Little Miss Muffet Stamp’s Polka Dot Pals Estrella. Isn’t she adorable!! (I think her hair was supposed to be braided, but I made a head band and added some bangs – artistic liberty right?
Come on over and join in on Challenge #182 – Anything Goes!  There are prizes… For our prizes, one lucky winner will be awarded a $10.00 Gift Voucher to the LMMS shop. We like to select a couple other projects to highlight as well. Good Luck!
Thanks for stopping by!!

inYep! It is time for a new challenge at Little Miss Muffet Stamps, (Challenge #182 “Anything Goes!”) Valentine’s Day is just around the corner and I have pulled out my heart images and favorite inks because I have lots, lots, lots of Valentines!!
My first card uses Little Miss Muffet’s Cuthbert Heart.Â
I used a Simon Says Stamp Heart border die and cut it out of my card front and some left over DO I made last week. I colored Cuthbert with my Polychromos, fussy cut it, and popped it up with foam. My sentiment came from Papertrey Ink’s Love You to Pieces: Additions Mini Stamp Set.I’ll share more as I get them made 🙂
