For today’s sketch challenge at SplitCoast Stampers SC764(HERE) I had so much fun digging through my scraps. I have a big pile of scrap background paper(handmade) from various projects – where I just couldn’t throw it away even if it was just a strip. When a project like this comes along, I am like “A HA! – this is why I keep them!!” It makes me so happy to be right haha!!

I even had an adorable Tiddly Inks image called Lily Bean – Cup of Love already printed and half colored on my desk, AND it matched up – it was so meant to be, don’t cha think?

I am going to enter it in the Challenge #228….Anything TIDDLY INKS goes….

PS and by the way, this image is on sale at Tiddly Inks for $1 – YES only $1!

I hope you like it! Thanks for stopping by!

Hi All – I have another Fab Friday card for Tiddly Inks. I went very simple today and  practiced with my Polychromos color pencils and a sweet fairy image called Willow the Greeting Fairy. Isn’t she precious? And by combining the stars, fairy, and sentiment from the set, we have the perfect CAS card – don’t cha think?

I hope you are inspired! There is still time to join in the current challenge so hop on over to the Tiddly Inks Challenge Blog.

Tiddly Inks Challenge – Gel Shaker

03 Tuesday Jul 2018

Summer time, summer time, sum sum summer time!! It is definitely time to go out and swim and soak up the sun!!

It is time for a new challenge at the Tiddly Inks Challenge Blog and it is an Anything Goes Challenge. I have been wanting to create a “water shaker” for so long and when I saw the Tiddly Inks Wryn – Just Keep Swimming image, I knew the time was now! I mean doesn’t she look like she should be underwater? I used THIS tutorial to create my shaker element but based on other videos I had seen, I used hair gel instead of water because it leaves the perfect amount of “bubbles” behind which work perfect with a snorkel.

I colored her up with Copics and used some star glitter shapes and Dollar Store hair gel. I decided to go simple with the outside since the focus was on the interactive element – the gel “shaker” (that I keep playing with :)) It was VERY hard to put the gel element on top of my sweetly colored image but the results are too fun -I am so happy to have tried this technique!

I hope you like it and are inspired to join the challenge this week at the Tiddly Inks Challenge Blog.

Thanks for stopping by!!

Tiddly Inks – Beach Party!

22 Friday Jun 2018

Hi All – Today is Fab Friday at Tiddly Inks and I have another sweet card for you using a Tiddly Inks image. This one is called Wryn Beach Party. Is she not A-D-0-R-A-B-L-E!!

She looked like she was walking out of the ocean on a grand sea adventure. So I decided to create a beach scene around her (the cute puppy and sand castle were included in the set). This one is going to be for my sister – she loves the beach and she will love this cutie!

I colored the whole scene up with Copics and because the scene was the main focal point, I made the layout kind of simple. For fun, I did glue on some glitter around the sand castle and then colored it to match the sand (I did this with my Copics), then I added a natural shell to the sentiment piece.

I hope you are inspired! There is still time to join in the current challenge so hop on over to the Tiddly Inks Challenge Blog.

Tiddly Inks Fun! Color Challenge

05 Tuesday Jun 2018

Hi All – so this may be one of my busiest months in a LONG time. But it has been so much fun playing with so many new images. This month and next I will get the awesome opportunity to be a guest designer at Tiddly Inks. These images are just so adorable!

For my first card, I am playing along with this week’s challenge – a color challenge. You know these are my weak point and this is the second one this month…hmmm, I am being tested to work on my weaknesses huh 🙂

This is such a pretty, beachy image but I decided to go in a different direction for the image when I saw this little giraffe. He is so sweet I just couldn’t resist.

I colored the Giraffe with Copics and used some complimentary digital designer papers to create my background. The colors are a little darker but they are pretty close aren’t they?

I hope you like it and are inspired to join the challenge this week at the Tiddly Inks Challenge Blog.

Thanks for stopping by!!
