DoodlePantry GroovyCatI have just realized I have a LOT of groovy stamps, papers, and embellishments. I mean, I was alive during the “Peace, Love, and Happiness” era but I was only a kid. Still I love these stamps, and every time I see one I just gotta have it. So the collection is growing…

In a week I am going be on vacation and it is gonna be a “peaceful” one! I am going to pull out all my hippy, peace, groovy, etc, stamps, papers, and embellishments and make a week of it (oh yeah baby!)

Today’s card is for DoodlePantry Challenge DPDC32. The image is from Doodle Pantry called Shaggy Cat – it is a cat sitting in a fuzzy pink chair. The set came with the cat in the chair and the cat and chair separately. It also came with several sentiments. The sentiment I chose was “Groovy Baby” – That fuzzy chair just screams groovy to me.

sketch94I saw a sketch from The Deconstructed Sketch (94) and decided to follow it for my Groovy Kitty. I colored my image with Copics. I used my Peace sign embossing folder (Darice) on glossy white paper for the side panels, Hot pink Pinstripe DP (Doodlebug) for the background, and mounted it all on Raspberry fizz Cardstock (Papertrey Ink.) For an extra pop, I added black cardstock behind the image and sentiment. I finished it off with some twine and ribbon elements and WOW! Groovy indeed!

With all of this pink, I decided this card needed to Link Up for Pink: This is a Breast Cancer Awareness Blog – AWESOME and INSPIRATIONAL…HEY, a world without Breast Cancer will definitely be “Groovy Baby”!!!

Other Challenges:

  • Glitter n Sparkle Challenge #25 – Animals
  • Lacy Sunshine #4 – Layer it up – Love this site! I have an Eleanor and Pickles Stamp (my most recent gotta have) that will make an appearance during “Peace, {heart}, and Vacation”

Thanks for stopping by!
