Hambo Peas2So today’s card is using a Hambo stamp set that makes me smile out loud! “Give Peas a chance” won’t cha?

The funny thing about this sentiment is that I cannot stand peas. My friends are always trying to get me to “give them a chance – just try” them. I do not like them, any of them, and the green ones…absolutely not! (Of course I am pretty stubborn about most green foods.) Maybe it’s the smiley faces, I don’t know, but these peas are so cute that I had to add them to my collection of rubber. It was a need as opposed to a want – you understand right?

In the spirit of the sentiment, I used some cardstock from The Paper Studio aptly named…Peace, Love, and Happiness – aha and haha!SC424-nc right?? I chose a green sheet from the stack with glittery Groovy printed all over it. And then had fun with my green Copics; inventing color combinations.

Now, how to tie it all together. Hmmmm… a sketch from Splitcoast Stampers to the rescue – SC424. It was clean and simple and just what these peas needed. For fun, I decided to use the style of a past Hambo DT friend – Jan Hunnicutt. Her stuff always inspires me. She is truly the queen of CAS and the Sketch.

THambo Peas Insidehe stamp is mounted on a rectangle/deckled rectangle from Spellbinders – I truly do have others, these two just keep screaming my name. I created the banner by using the top of my Stampin’ Up Heart punch. Then finished it all off with three black rhinestones by Basics (I got these as a thank you gift from Simon Says Stamp – Pretty nice huh?!)

I lined the card with white cardstock and another “sweet, pea”.

The stamps I used are Hambo Stamps: Peapod [0618] and Give Peas [0514].

It is not my usual style, but it kind of makes me happy…

I am going to enter this card into the following:

Thanks for stopping by and “PEA(S)CE“!
