Bugaboo – Bingo Challenge – Bunny Love

Today we have a new challenge at Catch the Bug and it is a BINGO challenge.

For my card, I used several Washi Tapes to create a striped background paper. I didn’t really use a pattern for the stripes but just went with it. I colored up LB Bunny with Copic markers Finally, I Die cut rectangle layers starting with wonky rectangle image, then Rectangle nesting dies from A Jillian Vance Design. It is bring and Spring-y.

That is the center column and I really like how it turned out.

Bugaboo Freebie Friday – Violet Can

I hope you have had a great week and are ready for a great weekend! Today Bugaboo has a new Freebie called Violet Can. I printed it out and colored it with Polychromos Pencils. I used a multiliner to draw a border around it. I mounted the panel on a puple cardstock and then mounted it on a card base. Simple and I love it!

Bugaboo – Birthday Pig

Today is a “New Release” day at Catch the Bug…Pig Birthday Cupcake is today’s image.. I decided to create a masculine card (or try) – meaning darker colors. I found a gel place background in my stash and used it to inspire the rest. 

I used my A Jillian Vance Design Dies and Spellbinders Rectangles for the layers. With my Copics and some color pencils (for final touches) I tried for some shading on the pig’s face then yellow highlight – from the candle. I don’t know how I feel about it but it was a fun exercise either way 🙂

Bugaboo – Photo Challenge

Today’s challenge at Catch the Bug is a photo challenge.

I have been wanting to color up Bugaboo’s Love Angel for a while and this challenge seemed a perfect opportunity. No hand heart but a hair heart…what do you think?

I colored her up with Copic markers in shades of pink (to go along with the photo), fussy cut her, and adhered her to a Distress Oxide background. I added a three layer stacked frame and a simple sentiment and put it all on a watercolor card base.

Bugaboo Friday Freebie – Life needs Coffee

For today’s Freebie Friday at Bugaboo Stamps, we have a snarky, humorous Margaret image.

I went super clean and simple by making it a topper, then adding the sentiment under it before printing it out. After coloring her with Copics, I thought it was a little too CAS. So… I added a coffee stain to the bottom corner – it seemed perfect for the image and sentiment.

Bugaboo Birthday Day 7 – Color Challenge and a Freebie

Today is the last day of this year’s birthday bash at Bugaboo Stamps – what a fun week it has been! Today’s challenge is a Color Challenge and there is a fun FREE fox up for grabs for anyone who wants to play along.

I pulled some colored cardsock and designer cardstock from my stash and colored up my fox with my Copic markers. I practiced with shading and went a little darker than I planned but hey – that is part of the process right and I had fun so I count it a win!!

Bugaboo Birthday Day Four – Bingo and a flash freebie!

I went with the center row and grabbed designer paper for a layer and used my layering dies to stack them up. This little guy is super fun to color – I used my polychromos pencils this time.

Bugaboo is 11~ Let’s Celebrate!

Today is the first day of the Bugaboo Birthday Bash! They are celebrating 11 years with a week long event. There will be lots of inspiration, fun, and oh yeah – PRIZES!

The theme this year is “Woodland Creatures” so I have pulled out a couple of birthday bears for you called Little Bear Birthday and Little Bear Birthday 2.

I went very clean and simple with my cards. I printed the images in the bottom(middle and right) of my Neenah Desert Storm paper so that when I cut it in half (longways) and folded it, they would sit in the bottom right corners of a top folding card. I colored them with Copics and that was it.

By the way – the card stock I used is thick enough that there is little to no bleed through on the back. If I do say so myself, these made for pretty neat one layered cards that I am super happy to add to my birthday stash for a boy or a girl. They work for either 🙂

Bugaboo Holiday Chaos Day 3

For today (Day 3)’s challenge at Bugaboo’s Holiday Chaos Event, we have a photo challenge. Monday means Anything But a Card – so… I have two tags.

I found two fun images that match up with this image in my mind…

The first one is a reindeer with gifts called Rudolph presents – this one goes along with the image and the challenge theme. I colored it with copic and fussy cut it and adhered it to a fun background…

My second one isn’t a reindeer but is does following the photo with a stack of gifts. It was just too good to pass up – a cute Knobby Knee Girl called Knobby Knees Christmas – sack. I colored it with copics and cut the image with a tag die.
