For today’s Technique Lover’s Challenge at Splitcoast Stampers I am trying a new technique I found from Jennifer McGuire – Distress Ink Monoprint.

I used a couple of the new stamp sets from Sweet N Sassy with snowflakes and adorable snowmen –Folk Art Snowflakes and Snow Much Fun

Using the snowflakes from both sets, I created my own background. The technique creates a darker (heat embossed) panel and a lighter (debossed?) panel. I created cards both sides of the technique. One is a CAS card and one is a shaker card (still a little CAS :))

On the original, I used Chipped Sapphire, Dusty Concord, and Shaded Lilac Distress Oxides and using the snowflakes from both sets, I created my own background. Then I misted it and created the “print.”

My challenge to the SCS community is to do the same. Try the technique then post cards/projects using both sides. This is a super fun technique – I will definitely revisit it!

Thanks for stopping by!
