We have such a fun hop today!! Sweet ‘n Sassy Stamps and My Sweet Petunia are joining up for a SWEET+SWEET blog hop! Not only will you see tons of inspiration and maybe collect a tip or two on how to use your MISTI, there giveaways from BOTH shops…That’s right! There’s a chance to win a $50 gift code to each shop, so we hope you’ll join the fun and hop along with us!
NOTE: To be eligible for the drawing, you must leave a little love in the comments at each stop along the hop. That shouldn’t be too hard right! 🙂
You should have arrived from the blog of Julie Cassell, if not hop back or start at the SNSS Blog to make sure you don’t miss anything!
I have a couple of projects for you today. I hope to show you how versatile both SNSS stamps are and how helpful the MISTI is… While I love my MISTI for a lot of projects, it is a must for multiples!
My first project is some simple tags I used on gifts for a fundraiser luncheon. BUT since I had to make several, I wanted to make it as quick as possible…. [At the bottom of this page is a link to a video showing this process but here are quick step by steps pics.]
I cut out some tags using Canson water color paper. I used Through The Trees and chose the small border of flowers. I lined it up in my MISTI and then colored with MARVY water based markers (pink and green) directly on the stamp. I closed the door to stamp on tags. Once done, I went over it with a water brush. I smeared a little blue for the sky.I repeated this six times before moving to the next step.
After lining up the sentiment (from Thoughtful Words) in my MISTI, I used my wipe off mouse pad and water based ink to stamp the sentiment – this was just to make sure the spacing worked and the sentiment was straight before I put it on a tag…
Once I was happy with the line up, I used Archival Ink and stamped the sentiment over the floral water color piece.I repeated it on all six tags and then all my tags were ready to attach to the gifts I had made. They were so quick and easy and they made a real impact in the presentation.
My second project uses Outline Alpha, Itty Bitty Blossoms, and Scene Silhouettes:Trees I created a set of clean and simple cards using Canson watercolor paper, Mavy markers, and a crazy MISTI set up.
I did a video showing how I set this card up in my MISTI so I can then quickly create a set. Note: it is about 35 minutes in case you need to come back to it later 🙂
Here are the finished cards
That’s all I have for you today! Now head on over to see what fun Sheri Gilson has created for you – just in case, here is the hop list for you:

Love the “hi” sentiment for a card front. I will have to get out my water brush
and use it more often. I can see using the floral for bookmarks, too.

The MISTI makes the process of creating multiples of a design SO MUCH EASIER!! You were able to save so much time and cut down on the stress by having this one amazing tool. I love my mini-Misti and sometimes wish I had the larger size, too. The tool is just fantastic.
The designs you created with the wonderful SNS products are terrific. I especially like the friendship tags! ❤
