I have really been loving my creative time in my Bible lately. While I love inking up a stamp, it is always scary to apply ink to my Bible page so I am doing something different for today’s page. I have been wanting to put the From the Heart Digi Time to Bloom image into my Bible from the moment I saw it and today, here it is…
I printed the image on Strathmore inkjet translucent Vellum – it dries fast and doesn’t smear. I colored it up with my Polychromos pencils. I took my time and had fun with shading and just used it as a coloring project thinking about the verse from Ecclesiastes – 3:1. It reminds us that while there are sad times there are also good times – There is a beginning with every ending.
“For everything there is a season,
a time for every activity under heaven.”
After I colored my image, I cut it to the size of my Bible pages and rounded the corner with a 1/4″ rounder (this matches my Bible pages) I put a strip of 1/8″ inch Score tape on the straight (not rounded) edge and stuck it into my Bible.
I hope today’s page inspired you to try journaling without worry.
Thanks for stopping by!

Oh, Lyn, now this is something I definitely think I could do. I really struggle with doing Bible artwork journaling in my Bible. I write notes and underline as I read, and I love looking back from year to year to see what God has placed on my heart for that passage. But I love being able to use a vellum piece, color an image and use a verse like you have…and then carefully adhere it into the Bible! Thank you so much for sharing this…you’ve inspired me! Hugs!
