For today’s inspiration card, I decided to play with one of the new images at From the Heart Stamps called Coffee and Friends. I drug the .png file into a word document and recolored the image to grey scales so that I could try no-line coloring. I’ve always wanted to try this but until now, I have been a little afraid… I love the results but you definitely have to take your time with the coloring and shading.
After coloring the image with my darker shades of red (R35, R37, R39), green (YG91, YG93, YG95, YG97, YG99), and yellow (Y21, Y26, Y28) then creating a background with browns (E51, E53, E55) and Warm Grays (W1, W3, W5, W7, W9), I decided the lay out for this one needed to be pretty simple. I cut out the image block, ran around the edges with a memento black market and mounted it onto some fun foam for a little dimension then onto some solid papers that coordinated with the image. I added a little glossy accents to the coffee to make it look “liquidy” and that is the card for today.
I hope you like it and are feeling inspired – let me know if you have any questions!

Haha. There are lines it just looks like there aren’t. There is no way I could do it otherwise.

I’ve also never tried but it looks amazing, Lyn ! It does not look more like a template / digi stamp without the black lines. It looks as if you had painted it himself.
