This month at Delightful Inspiration {from the heart}, the free stamp of the month challenge is to use “The cat’s out of the bag” digi. It was free to those who participated last month and is so much fun. I decided to combine it with the weekly sketch challenge #32…
Did you have an image that you loved in outline, but after you colored it, you weren’t sure about the colors you chose? Then you have to match it up with DP and you are even more uncertain? But when it all comes together, it makes you smile OUT LOUD? This was that image for me!! I just love how it came together and it was due in large part to the fun sketch!
I colored my image with Copics, then double mounted it using Spellbinders Circles and Scalloped Circles. I used black cardstock (brand?) to back everything and mounted it on a piece of vintage cream cardstock from Papertrey ink. My designer papers are from an awesome set I got at Hambo Stamps called Cosmos Cricket: 2WENTY-THR3E. This paper stack is fabulous!! I used random buttons (literally dug in every button container to come up with these fun coordinating buttons) and twine.
This image came with two sentiments. I chose “Meow” – that means “Hello” in cat…right?
Jump over to Delightful inspiration and join the challenge. You can buy the image this month and get into the progressive challenge for next month. They also have some fun digis (my faves are the birdbrains!)
I am also going to enter this card into the following challenges:
- Southern Girls Challenge – Warm Fuzzies
- Baffies Creative Shop – Challenge #23 Cat, Dog, Mouse (I have 2 of the 3!)
- C is for Challenge – #4 Animals
Thanks for stopping by! Have great day!

I can’t begin to tell you how cute this card is. What an adorable image and I love how you’ve colored it. Those little mice peeking out from the back make me laugh. Great job on this. Best, Curt

Here in Poland ‘to buy a cat in a bag’ means to buy something without knowing what exactly you are buying – is this the same in English? Adorable card. I would like to thank you for entering my ‘C… is for challenge’ blog and I wish you good luck in the draw.
Hugs,

Hi Anna, Here in the US, to “let the cat of the bag” is to tell something that might have been a secret… Thanks for a fun challenge! Lyn
