How about a Doodle Dragon Challenge today – Make a “Square Card”… For today’s card, I am using a cute little Doodle Dragon Dudley waiting for mail. This was part of a free mini set I got during the OWH weekend.
My cousin is moving to England (Air force) for two years and her four year old is one of my favorite people! I have been collecting cute images to make cards for him over the next two years and this is one of them. He loves getting mail and I think he will love getting this card.
I colored my image with Copic markers and stamped my sentiment with Memento Rich Cocoa (Sentiment is from the Where your Heart is Stamp set from Simon Says Stamp)
My card is a 4.25″ square (base white by PTI). I also used dark chocolate card (PTI), DP from the DCWV Green Stack, and a piece of white card embossed with “Script”. I used a square Spellbinders Die to cut out the image using the out of the box die technique, and used Stampin’ Up oval and scallop oval punch for my sentiment.
I am also going to enter this card into The Crafting Café “For The Boys” challenge.
Thanks for stopping by!
Great card, brilliant colouring and matching, and love the layering (not too OTT!)
Thanks for joining us at The Crafting Cafe and good luck!
Lyn, love your card. I keep forgetting about the “out-of-the-box” technique, but I love the way it looks. Great job! Thanks for playing on “Pike’s Playground” this week.
