This week we have some added fun at Hambo Stamps – a blog hop that includes the Hambo customers and the Bacon Bits Design Team and the theme is…Broadway Bound! These are creations that depict Broadway show titles! It might be our favorite, or just one that was fun to design. If you arrived here from Mary’s blog – My Stampin Hide Away – you are in the right place! If not, you might want to start back at the beginning at the Hambo blog to make sure you are eligible for the hopper prize!
A prize will be awarded to one participant whose Broadway-themed creation tickles the Bacon Bits’ fancy in a hammin’ jammin’ way! Another prize will be awarded randomly to a hopper who comments on all of the blogs along the way. The winners will be announced on the Hambo company blog, Talk to the Ham, on Tuesday, September 25.
We love comments anytime, but the deadline for prize entry comments is Sunday, September 23, at 5 PM CST. Don’t miss it!
I decided to combine two past Hoedown Challenge images for a Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde themed card (Dr. Needle and Monster Yell were perfect!) I kept the colors sedate and monochromatic on the front side where ‘plain’ Dr. Jekyll resides, but then when you pull up the tab of the slider, you get a more colorful Mr. Hyde (the ‘monster’.)
Jekyll & Hyde is a musical based on the novella Strange Case of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde by Robert Louis Stevenson. The musical ran on Broadway for 1,543 performances, from 1997 through 2001. I never saw it, but it was a fun choice!
I used two sentiments on the outside. At the top, I used “This is the moment” which is the title of one of the songs in the show. The other sentiment was adapted from the Dr. Needle set – “It will only sting a little!” On the inside, I simply wrote… “Woops!”
I actually got to dust off a past purchased got to have tool for this one – the Papertrey Ink Sliders set…love it! A tutorial on how they work can be found here. Check it out and you will understand why I “had to have” these.
